International and Australian visitors will be lured to Penrith in a joint Taskforce initiative established by Destination New South Wales, Penrith City Council and Penrith Valley Chamber.
The new Tourism and Visitor Economy Taskforce will bring together representatives from the Penrith Valley Chamber, local and state government as well as private sector interests to grow the visitor economy throughout the Penrith Valley Region.
The key stakeholders (Penrith Valley Chamber, Destination Sydney Surrounds North, Penrith City Council) will lead the recruitment process to select five key industry members with experience and expertise who will help shape the future tourism roadmap.
Expressions of interest have been called for, more details about the Taskforce and EOI process can be found here:
The Taskforce will operate as a ‘strike team’ to define the roles and responsibilities of the key stakeholders and establish a Taskforce Charter and priorities. A key objective will be to create joint private and public campaign funding models to grow the profile and attractiveness of Penrith Valley for visitors.
